Equipment
Micromeritics 3Flex-MS Recognized as the most advanced instrument in the field for material surface characterization (1). The 3Flex has become a crucial tool for providing high resolution adsorption and desorption isotherms to advance and validate fundamental understanding into development of methodologies and process improvements. In our laboratory the following analyzes are carried out: - Nitrogen Adsorption-Desorption. - Porosity and specific area measurements (BET Method). - Pore size distribution (micropore and mesopore). - NH 3 and CO 2 adsorption (surface acidity). - Reactive adsorption of methanol. - Determination of size and dispersion of metallic particles (quimisorption of H 2 and CO 2 ). - Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR). - Determination of functional groups of carbon-based materials (Programmed Thermal Decomposition). - Among others. Through these techniques it is possible to characterize supported nanoparticles, porous materials such as activated carbon, silica, alumina, titania, graphene, carbon nanotubes, polymers, zeolites, graphene oxide, etc. For questions or measurement request, you can write us to the e-mail neescalona@ing.puc.cl
